Wisdom of the week

Never, should we live in our own little worlds because other folks need our love, service, and care.

"Think of the purest, most all-consuming love you can imagine. Now multiply that love by an infinite amount—that is the measure of God’s love—for you." -Deiter F. Uchtdorf (October 3, 2009)

My pocket!

My favorite pocket!!!

Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving was amazing! We had lunch with a group from Daniel's work, all of who had just gotten back from deployments to Iraq and Kuwait! It was a great day of food, fun, and friends! Then we had dinner with our old neighbors and a few friends. It was a great day, we kind of had a Hawaiian twist to everything, our turkey and Kahlua Pig were cooked all night long in an imu (Hawaiian underground oven). We had Okinawan Sweet Potatoes (they're purple), and Daniel had to have Lomi Lomi Salmon Salad! We also had some Mango Sparkling Cider which was delicious! It was a ton of fun, and a ton of food, thanks everyone for bringing food to share! Cherise the Taro rolls were the best!! Hayden is the only one that took Pictures, So I hope you enjoy!!!

The weather was great!

The children, dads included, played the Star Wars shooting video game!

Enjoying all the food!

Enjoying having our Husbands back!

Enjoying Friend's Company!

Enjoying those cute cheeks! She is just too cute!!!

Some of my favorite girls!!! Kate you're there too!!

The awesome Turkey! Daniel prepared it with a Hawaiian Brine which it soaked in for 17 hours. It consisted of pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, garlic, bay leaves, crushed red pepper, and coarse salt. It was so moist!

The only picture of me!!!
Welcome home 25th ID and 84th Engineer Soldiers!!!

Circus

We took the children to the circus a few weeks ago! I prepared the children for lions and elephants, you know the entire circus experience! Well they were upset with me because it was more of a Cirque du Soleil Circus! I loved it though, so they will get over it! We fed them the yummy circus food, cotton candy, slushies, popcorn, meat on sticks, you know all the yummy not good for you food, so they were happy about that!!

There was a husband and wife crossbow act, they were exciting to watch, Addison even liked this one!!
This was my favorite! My guess is she used to be an Russian Gymnast!

Her lines were amazing!

AMAZING!!!

This is where it got crazy!!!

Finally one I could do!!

This one too!!

I could do this one too......

But not this!

And for sure not this!!! This girl was amazing!

The amazing balancing guy!

Look how high he is!!!

He was fun to watch!!

Turtle Beach

We went to Turtle Beach when our Friend Aubrey visited, so here are some pictures!!!

There were two turtles laying on the beach!

The children loved playing in the water!

Daniel did too!

The turtles were taking a nap on the beach!!

Madelyn loved the water!

The boys thought the waves were so much fun! Daniel got a little worried about their size!!

Madelyn could stay in the water forever!

We stayed until the sun went down!

Karate

Addison has started Karate, and he loves it! It is fun to see him practice, and he is so excited to go to class! I heard Addison tell Nathanael the other day in the car, "I will protect you from the big kids, I know Karate and I will beat them up" Should I be worried that he thinks he can beat up big kids, or be thankful he will protect his little brother??? These are pictures from his first practice and before he had his Gi (uniform).

Pumpkin Picking

Man I am behind updating our blog, but I will get caught up!!! With Daniel coming home a week before Halloween, we had very little time to pick our pumpkins, decorate, sew costumes, and throw a Halloween party! We have enjoyed Daddy being home, but I am ready to slow down a bit!!!

We went to Aloun Farms here in Hawaii, and they have a huge farm that grows a little of everything, but in October they have a fun pumpkin patch. The children loved picking out pumpkins, they were totally picked through when we went! They also had fun on the rides!!!

On the Hay Ride

Playing with the camera while everyone else was having fun on the rides! I love Madelyn's scrunchy nose!!!

The two of us messing with the camera!!

Addison climbing the rock wall!!!

Nathanael going down the huge slide, he loved it!

Hayden coming back!

Daniel coming back with the boys. We went here the day after Daniel got home from the Middle East, and this made me cry! I have waited an entire year to see my boys having fun with their Daddy!!

Daniel's Homecoming

Daniel is finally home!!!

It has been so nice to have the family complete again, and to have two extra hands to help at home! The children have loved having their Daddy back again, and will not leave his side! If he is somewhere they need to know exactly where he is! Let's hope he stays home for a little while this time!!!

Trying to peek and see Daddy!! All the Soldiers were on the other side!

Madelyn waiting for her Daddy!

Where all the Soldiers would soon be!

Trying to entertain them!

Trying to tell the children where Daddy was!

Trying to find our Daddy!

Trying to see Daniel on the screen.

Michelle and I anxiously waiting for our husbands! We look pretty good for no sleep, and at 6am in the morning!!!

Here they come!

I found him!

The entire family together again!
